Godshall Woodcraft, LLC ("we," "us," "our") runs godshallwoodcraft.com, where we sell handcrafted solid wood furniture — chairs, tables, cabinets, and storage pieces. This page explains what information we collect when you visit or shop with us, how we use it, and what choices you have.

What we collect

When you shop with us or browse our site, we may collect:

  • Your name, email, shipping/billing address, and phone number
  • Order history and what's in your cart
  • Payment details (your card info goes straight to our payment processor — we never see or store full card numbers)
  • Basic browsing info like which pages you visit, your browser/device type, and how you found our site
  • Anything you send us directly, like messages through our contact form or emails

We don't collect anything from kids under 13, and we don't go looking for sensitive info like health data or government ID numbers. If you happen to mention something sensitive in a support message, we'll only use it to help with that specific issue.

How we get this information

Some of it is collected automatically through cookies when you browse. The rest you give us directly — creating an account, placing an order, signing up for emails, leaving a review, or contacting us.

What we use it for

  • Getting your order processed, paid for, and shipped
  • Customer support
  • Sending updates about your order (and marketing emails, but only if you've opted in)
  • Keeping the site running smoothly and improving it
  • Catching fraud
  • Following tax and legal requirements

Cookies

We use cookies to keep your cart working, remember your preferences, and understand how people use the site. Some cookies also help with advertising — if you'd rather not be tracked for ads, you can adjust your browser settings or turn on a Global Privacy Control signal, and we'll honor it.

Where your data goes

We're built on Shopify, so your data lives on their servers. We also work with a handful of other companies to run the business:

  • Payment processors (Shopify Payments, PayPal, Stripe)
  • Shipping carriers (USPS, UPS, FedEx) — just enough info to get your order to your door
  • Email marketing tools, if you've subscribed
  • Analytics tools like Google Analytics

We don't sell your information for cash. Some ad cookies may technically count as "sharing" under certain state laws, even though no money changes hands — see the opt-out section below if that matters to you.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (California, Virginia, Colorado, Texas, and a growing list of other states all have their own privacy laws now), you generally have the right to:

  • Find out what data we have on you
  • Ask us to correct or delete it
  • Opt out of having it used for targeted ads or "sale/sharing"

Just email us at support@godshallwoodcraft.com and we'll sort it out. We may need to verify it's really you first. We won't treat you any differently for asking.

Opting out of ad-related data sharing

Email us at support@godshallwoodcraft.com with "Do Not Sell or Share My Info" in the subject, adjust your cookie settings, or turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser. Any of these work.

Marketing emails

If you sign up for our newsletter, every email will have an unsubscribe link, and we'll honor opt-outs quickly. Note that order-related emails (confirmations, shipping updates) aren't considered marketing, so you'll still get those even if you unsubscribe from promos.

Security

We use SSL encryption and rely on Shopify's security infrastructure to keep your data safe. That said, nothing online is 100% bulletproof, so we can't make absolute guarantees — but we take it seriously.

How long we keep your data

As long as it's useful — for your account, for fulfilling orders, for tax records, or resolving any disputes. Once it's no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we'll change the date at the top. Keep using the site after an update means you're okay with the changes.
