Payment Policy

This Payment Policy explains how payments work when you shop with Godshall Woodcraft, LLC, including accepted payment methods, when you're charged, taxes, security, and what to do if something goes wrong with a payment.

1. Accepted Payment Methods

We accept the following payment methods at checkout:

  • Apple Pay
  • Google Pay
  • Discover
  • JCB

All payments are processed securely through Shopify Payments and/or our trusted third-party payment processors.

2. When You'll Be Charged

Your payment method is charged immediately at checkout when you place your order. This authorization and charge confirms your order and allows us to begin processing it for shipment.

If for any reason we're unable to fulfill your order (for example, due to a pricing error or stock issue), we will notify you and issue a full refund to your original payment method.

3. Currency

All prices on our Site and all transactions are processed in US Dollars (USD). We do not currently support multi-currency checkout. If your card or payment account is in a different currency, your bank or card issuer may apply their own currency conversion rate and fees — we have no control over these and recommend checking with your bank if you have questions.

4. Pricing and Sales Tax

Prices displayed on our Site are shown before tax. Applicable state and local sales tax will be calculated and added at checkout based on your shipping address.

Sales tax rates vary depending on the state, county, and city you're shipping to, in accordance with each state's tax laws. We collect sales tax in states where we are required to do so based on applicable nexus laws. The exact tax amount for your order will be clearly shown on the checkout page before you complete your purchase.

5. Payment Security

We take payment security seriously. Our Site uses SSL/TLS encryption to protect your information during transmission. All payment processing is handled by PCI DSS-compliant payment processors (such as Shopify Payments, PayPal, and other supported providers).

We do not store your full credit card number, CVV, or other sensitive payment details on our servers.

6. Failed or Declined Payments

If your payment fails or is declined at checkout, your order will not be processed or shipped. This can happen for several reasons, including insufficient funds, incorrect card details, or your bank declining the transaction for security reasons.

If this happens, please:

  • Double-check your card details and billing address
  • Confirm you have sufficient funds or available credit
  • Contact your bank or card issuer if the issue persists
  • Try an alternative payment method

If a payment fails, your order will be placed on hold and will not be processed until payment is successfully completed. Orders with unresolved payment issues may be automatically cancelled.

7. Fraud Prevention

To protect our customers and our business from fraud, we reserve the right to:

  • Cancel or place a hold on any order flagged as potentially fraudulent
  • Use address verification (AVS) and CVV checks to confirm card ownership
  • Request additional identity verification before processing or shipping an order

If we need additional information from you, we'll reach out using the contact details provided at checkout. Orders that cannot be verified may be cancelled and refunded.

8. Buy Now, Pay Later / Installment Options

If available at checkout, we may offer installment payment options through Shop Pay Installments. If you choose this option, your payment terms (including any interest, fees, or repayment schedule) are governed by that provider's own terms and conditions, not by Godshall Woodcraft, LLC. Please review their terms before selecting this option at checkout.

9. Refunds and Chargebacks

Approved refunds are processed within 7 business days of us receiving and inspecting your returned item, and are issued to your original payment method.

If you have a concern about a charge, we encourage you to contact us directly before filing a chargeback with your bank — most issues can be resolved quickly this way. Chargebacks filed in bad faith (for example, after a refund has already been issued) may result in suspension of your account.

10. Promotional Codes and Discounts

Only one promotional code may be applied per order, unless otherwise stated in the promotion's terms. Promo codes are not transferable, cannot be combined with other offers unless explicitly stated, and may have an expiration date. Codes that have expired or been used cannot be reapplied retroactively to an order.
